Greetings to our cousins in Atlantia,
Please mark your calendars - July 6, 7, 8 - for that most wonderful event
Defenders of Sylvan Glen.
We will again be offering martial challenges of all kinds - heavy, rapier,
thrown weapons, archery, and youth fighting (heavy).
We are having an A&S competition - Medieval beasts and monsters is the theme
- with a $35.00 SCA gift certificate (usable for SCA membership).
A bardic competiion, and a SCADIAN fishing derby as well.  You will need a
WV fishing lics. (one day, out of state lics is $15.00 for anyone over 14,
available on line or at the WV Walmart in the sporting goods section).
We are offering a fine feast (the details are being finished now, even as
this is being written).  Hopefully, we will even be able to offer our
patrons a veiw of hound coursing.
We will have a class on basket making (participation is a first come - first
in the class, with a limit of 5 members, and a fee of $5.00).
There is an early bird reservation incentive - check Defenders of Sylvan

I am looking forward to seeing all our friends from the land of "A thousand,
thousand welcomes!".
