Subject: [Marshalls] Marshal Class Offering on July 7
To: storvik at yahoogroups.com, grandarmy at yahoogroups.com, The
Marshallate of Atlantia <marshalls at atlantia.sca.org>

This is a re-post/reminder of the initial message.

Sir Roland will be offering the two basic heavy marshal (Armored
Marshalling 101 and Field Marshalling 201) classes on Monday, July 7
at 7:30 p.m. at the Storvik fighter practice.

Taking these classes is the first step to obtaining your marshal
warrant. If you already have a warrant, you should check the
expiration date on it and plan on attending the class to ensure it
does not lapse. If your warrant has lapsed, then these classes are
what you need to get it re-instated.

The classes will start at 7:30 p.m. sharp (not SCA time) and will take
no more than two hours. For directions to the site, see:

<Begin preaching>If you're a heavy fighter, becoming a marshal is a
crucial piece of service to the Society in general and the fighting
community in particular. Each event that you have attended happens
because a relatively small group abstains from fighting so the rest of
us can have a good time. The more marshals available, the less often
people have to sit on the sidelines, the faster authorizations go, and
the more often events start on time. In addition to being the Right
Thing to Do, becoming a marshal is a great educational experience and
will enhance your fighting experience overall.<End preaching>

Please cross-post to all local baronial and household lists.

Your servant,

Joselin d'outremer
