[Moo] Marshalled Activities at Defending the Gate

The Canton of Sudentorre, with the Barony of Stierbach, invite one  and all 
to participate in Defending the Gate VII and Stierbach Baronial  Investiture on 
Saturday, March 22. As in years passed, this event focuses on  teamwork and 
having fun. Teams are formed from baronies, households, and  friends. If you 
are by yourself, we will find someone for you to play with. For  the Tournament 
of the Gate, points are acrued from each team  participating in Heavy combat, 
Rapier, Archery, Thrown Weapons, and A&S  comptitions. Complete Event

Anna Winery, and closes at 9pm. 
For Armored Combat and Rapier activities: 
1) A bear pit style format will be used in defending the  gates from invading 
foes. The structure used last year will be used again, only  it will be 
reconfigured into two parallel  gates vice one large gate.  Combat Archery will be 
included in this  portion.   
2) Allied Champions Style Battle from the previous Pennsic. This  consists of 
Capture the Flag with resurrections.  No Combat Archery. Full details will be 
 provided the day of the event. 
MiTs of all disciplines are welcome.  All volunteers for Marshaling are  
welcome.   
Authorizations will begin when MoL opens at 9:30 am. Two  marshals and an 
usher are available.  New authorizations have priority.  If I have enough 
marshals, “advanced weapons” authorizations will  continue while the other 
activities are on going or at the end of the official  activies. There will be a break

For Archers, Lord Mors has been making targets and will have a series of  
group-style team shoots. Each team is made up of "10 points worth" of  
participants. Points are:  Novice= 1, Archer=2, Marksman=3, Bowman=4,  Bowman Elite=5, 
and Grand Bowman Elite=6.
 
There will also be Youth Rapier, Thrown Weapons competitions, and an  
Atalatle time.
