We had one rapier fighter, one heavy fighter, and one HMA SME at
practice.  I blame Pennsic.  Everybody spent so much time up there
they became acclimatized and can’t handle the Virginia heat and
humidity for at least a week after they return.

Even so, knowledge was passed and martial prowess increased, if only
fractionally, just by being on the practice field and working on
adapting historical techniques to SCA combat conventions.
