Subject: Demo in May question

Greetings everyone,

I am trying to find out who would be able to make it to the demo May
15, 16 at Virginia Horse Center, Lexington, VA

Specifically I am wondering if anyone would be able to get there early
on Friday the 15th so that we can do the demo that day for school
kids.

I am thinking that if we get at least 4 horses and riders there, we
might be able to pull off something halfway decent.

Not sure exactly what time they were thinking to start, but I was
thinking around 11 am. I think it would be hard to do it before then
unless they are willing to let us get there Thursday evening.

They decided not to make it a fundraiser but to make it an educational
demo instead. So that takes away one headache at least.

The heavy fighters are talking about making it a regional practice
possibly. At least the knight marshal of Black Diamond was talking
about the possibility of doing that. Now that it is not a fundraiser,
it might be possible.

Anyway we are trying to get lots of groups as well as fencers and
heavies out there in addition to the horses.

Please let me know if you think you would be able to be there early on
Friday, especially if you could be there with a horse.

Stalls, trailer tying or highline or electric tape enclosures will be
allowed. Currently stall rate is $20.00 per horse per night. I am
going to try to get that reduced or eliminated - still negotiating
that though.

I could also use a firm committment from another Marshal so we can do
authorizations there too. Black Diamond said they aught to be able to
supply an MOL for us.

Thanks and see you all at the Equestrium in North Carolina on Feb 28.
(Contact Alain de la Rochelle for details about that).

Brandy
