I didn't know Mercedes made steins. ;)
The arms aren't bent, so it doesn't look like a triskelion (since I live in the land of the triskele now, it was my first thought). Mostly, it just looks decorative to me, but I'm no expert.

Subject: [Moo] Fwd: a question about a beer stein
I sent this question a few moments ago and it bounced because for some reason I attached 4 copies of the jpeg image unintentionally. This mundane friend of mine Steve collects vintage and medieval beer steins. I don't have the knowlege to answer his quesiton with any certainty. It doesn't look religious to me but I thought perhaps somone in the Barony would know more about it. I looked at heraldry and found many 5, 6, 8 and even more pointed stars but could not find a 3 pointed star. Not being a herald it might be called something else and that's why I didn't find it listed under stars.
Marcolo
- is this 3 pointed star - religious symbol?
PS: THIS COPPER STEIN IS FROM BOHEMIA AND IS FROM THE 1800'S-- WAY BEFORE THE MODERN WIND POWER VAINES WERE MADE
Thanks in advance for whatever time you can spare.
Steve
