[Moo] Which Material for a Jupon?

I am looking to have a Jupon fashioned for a late 14th century
fighting kit.  I am considering using silk lined with linen.  Having
purchased lots of nice, but totally unsuitable, cloth for previous
projects I thought I would solicit some advise as to the type and
weight of silk and linen to use.  If you have some experience in this
area please contact me, either here on the list or via private email.
