[Moo] Jupon Revisited

I have considered the jupon = petticoat option and have decided to
forgo employing the can-can tactic, regardless of just how
distracting/distressing it may be to my opponents.  Instead I am
planing on making a fancy go-to-meeting late 14th century style coat
(jupon) to cover my armor.  Does anyone have any advice on the best
type of silk to use for this type of garment?
