[Moo] Lochmere's Baronial Birthday A&S info

I was asked to send this to our local list by the MoAS of Lochmere.

Greetings Current and Potential Artisans!*

*The theme for Lochmere's Baronial Birthday and Investiture is France, circa
1500, the dawn of the 16th century.  In keeping with the theme of the event,
prizes will be awarded in each of the following categories.

·         *Men and Women’s clothing *(worn or displayed)

·         * Cooking*

·         *Best Accessory*:  e.g. pouches, jewelry, pater nosters, head
coverings, etc.

·         *Home furnishings*:  e.g. furniture, painted or woven tapestries,
etc.

(Please note that the time period for A&S activities has been broadened to
1420 – 1520 to increase entry possibilities.)

*In order to encourage everyone to try something new, Her Excellency,
Baroness Margery and the incoming Baroness will be awarding a special prize
for the best novice entry in any category.  *(For the purpose of this
competition, “novice” means first attempts or any art or science that you
have been practicing for less than a year.) *  *

Not feeling comfortable with the concept of “competition?”  Then please,
feel free to display your items, including works in progress.  Plenty of
table space will be provided.

As always, documentation is encouraged; but don’t let this intimidate you!  You
need not write a dissertation!  Remember, a picture is worth a thousand
words (and much easier on the judges' eyes!)
