There were three fighters in heavy armor and six, yep count em six,
rapier fighters at Tuesday practice. On the heavy side, it seems that
shields are going out of fashion. We worked on two sword, great
sword, and poleweapons. I would really like to get more of our heavy
fighters out practicing for a number of reasons. Practice makes
perfect, or at least increases your kill ratio, is more fun with more
people, is more valuable with more folks to work with, and besides
increasing individual prowess also results in an more effective and
deadly Stierbach presence on the field during wars.

Lessons Learned:

1) Shields (the use or defeat of) are important part of a heavy
fighter's skill set.
2) It is a good idea to perform maintenance on your shield from time to time.
3) It is a better idea to plan shield maintenance in advance so that
you can use your shield at practice (see lesson one)
4) I don't know if this is a lesson learned, think of it as a lesson
offered. Fighter practice takes place Tuesday nights at 8440 Kao
Circle, Manassas VA.
5) You not only don't improve if you don't practice, but you actually
become less proficient over time. (See lesson four)
