Greetings,

We had four fighters in armor last night. Shields did not take a
beating as we focused on great weapons and two sword the entire
practice. After two good hours of practice we geared down and told a
few war stories, discussed upcoming events, and generally caught up.

Lessons Learned:

1) Two handed swords can pack a wallop if you run into a swing, esp if
the person running leads with the head.
2) Just because your opponent's two handed sword is out of position
does not mean he can not hit you with it and lay you out on the ground
(See lesson One).
3) If you stand as still as a pell the entire fight do not be
surprised if your are beaten on like a pell the entire fight.
4) You do not have to guard your head when fighting great sword, just
don't expect to win.
5) Lessons learned in one practice can be carried over to subsequent
practices, or even tournaments. (Who would have thought?)
