Greetings fellow denizens of Stierbach,

As part of our Barony's war preparations to liberate the poor
oppressed subjects of Sacred Stones Baron A (AKA The Mad), recover our
cattle, and to sate our taste for clubbed phoenix we held two fighter
practices this week. Also know that these are the regularly schedule
practices on Monday at Fredricksburg and Tuesday in Manassas.

Monday we had two fighters in heavy armor, around ten in rapier kit
(sorry for the lack of clear numbers, my only excuse is that heavy
fighters are reputed to count 1, 2, 3, 4, many) and three youth
fighters kitted out. It was a nice practice held on a very pleasant
day.

Tuesday we had four heavy fighters working on techniques/sparing and
four rapier folks making a lot of noise and, for the life of me, it
looked like they were trying to stab each other.

Lessons Learned:

1) Do not be surprised when you are working with someone on how to
leverage their polearm to move you around when they use their polearm
to move you around, or actually take you off your feet and deposit you
in a messy heap at their feet.

2) Simply talking a good fight does not count as practice, you need to
actually practice.
