Yes Atlantia - there is a Golden Rose !!!!

I am both pleased and proud to announce that the 3rd Annual Tournament of the Golden Rose will take place on April 16, 2011, in the Barony of Tir-y-Don.

The Ladies of the Order of the Rose invite you all to a day filled with pageantry and more! On April 16, those Noble Ladies who have worn the Crown shall send forth Their Champions to the field, not for prowess or vainglory, but to pay tribute to the Ideals held dear and encouraged by the Order.

Come and join us for this most unique and special day.  Let the sun shine down on the best that Atlantia has to offer - nobility, chivalry, bravery, cunning, bombast, accuracy and grace!!

Martial Activities: Each Lady of the Rose will field a team of eight including:
One member of the Chivalry, two unbelted heavy fighters.  One Companion of the Order of the White Scarf, two non-white scarf fencers.  One archer and One herald.
Teams will be chosen in advance, but it never hurts to bring your armour, your bow and your voice, there is always a Lady of the Rose in distress who is in need of someone to help her.
After the main tourney, there will be a Bedford Points or Bearpit tourney for all fighters attending the event and, as in the past, there will be archery shoots going on throughout the day.

The Virtues which we will be celebrating and recognizing this year are:  Courtesy, Honor, Inspiration and Joie de Vivre

The site is the Ivy Memorial Baptist Church, 2200 Coliseum Drive, Hampton, VA 23666

There will be a dayboard prepared by Lord Wulfgang Moennich von Lupin (Moe) and Lord Mathieu of Tir-y-Don which is included in the cost of the event.
 Cost: Adult, Member: $12.00
Youth (5-17): $5.00
