[Moo] A&S project question and interest gauge for copper smelting

What is behind this is the new place where I live has rocks full of copper
and the well water turns the shower curtain a beautiful light green.
 
That got me thinking about smelting to extract copper from the rocks and
water. That made me think of others who might be interested, so bear with me
as a concept evolves.
 
I was thinking of committing a weekend to big fire projects to smelt/extract
copper from rocks and stuff with lots of heat. We could likely add another
big fire project and "fire" clay pots/pitcher in a wood fire.
 
Then once we were done, we might celebrate with a pork over fire feast and
maybe even a new brick oven as well.
 
Please let me know if you might be interesting in working or observing in
these kind of projects. The new place has a number of acres where folks
could pitch tents and we can do a big bonfire... All the fire related things
would likely need a waiver for participation. Depending on other interest we
could add some heavy/rapier/archery time while fires burn and make things
hot, but again, not sure what folks might like to see. We could ask
Sudentorre if we could make it official if needed, again no guarantees...
 
No schedule yet and no commitments, just trying to gauge who else might be
interested - I don't know how to do all this stuff yet, but...
 
I live in the northwestern corner of Spotysylvania County, Not terribly far
from Flaithri and Rhonwen.
 
Please make suggestions.
