<DIV><FONT size=2>Her Excellency, Baroness Ursula has asked her Rapier Champion
to fight in the Charity Tournament at Ymir this year. I have most humbly
accepted her gracious request, and will head south in the coming month to
do battle with the villains, ummm, champions from the other Baronies, Cantons,
and even his most magnificent Majesty, Ragnarr. The entry fee for the tournament
is a donation to help fight breast cancer. This is a very worthy endeavour on
the part of the Free Scholars of Atlantia's Acadamie d'Espee, and one I
wholeheartedly support (despite some infidel's assertion that I have no
heart)! </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>To this end, I would request that you donate what you can this
weekend at the Investiture of our new Baron and Baroness. Cash donations will be
accepted, and checks are welcome as well, and should be made out
to <FONT size=3>"The American Breast Cancer
Foundation". </FONT>To start things off, I pledge $50 to this
cause. This covers the nominal entry fee requested, so the Barony will be
represented regardless. Everything beyond this will show how supportive our
populace is of worthwhile charities. It think that this is a positive
trend in the SCA, and I hope to see more of it. I will discuss with their
Excellencies the best way to collect donations at the event. Perhaps a passing
of the hat at court and feast. Every dollar helps.</FONT></DIV>
