to be a bigger part of the opening ceremonies where the local indian tribe will
trade assorted goods "leather, foods, etc" with the local settlers for hunting
dogs. </FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Originally, it was going to be a couple of people
re-enacting, but the organizers want a larger group of "settlers" for
the opening ceremonies. </FONT><FONT size=2 face=Arial>They would
like to have at least a dozen or more men be part of this
ceremony. (Women did not take part in this type of business.)</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Basically, both sides will gather together, words
of greeting will be exchanged, both sides are to look tense, be
heavily armed (because both sides didn't trust each other, but wanted
the trade), then trade goods, and re-enact what started this event 311 years
ago. If you can come out and wear very late period garb, please
come.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>After the opening ceremonies, stay a while and help
out with the demo. This event is scheduled to have up to 5,000
attendees, has been heavily advertised and written about for the last
