Tablet weaving is an ancient art for making narrow wares, from simple and functional, to complex and gorgeous. <span style=""></span>Mistress Molly will run a workshop to introduce the basics and get students started on a project. <span style=""></span>This is intended to be a foundational class, and more workshops will be scheduled to teach more advanced techniques.</font>
<div style="" class="ecxMsoNormal"><span style="line-height:115%;font-family:'Georgia','serif';font-size:10pt"><font face="Times New Roman"><font color="#0000ff" size="3">WHAT TO BRING:</font></font></span></div>
<div style="" class="ecxMsoNormal"><span style="line-height:115%;font-family:'Georgia','serif';font-size:10pt"><font face="Times New Roman"><font size="3"><font color="#0000ff">Students may bring their own looms, or may use looms provided in class to practice on. If you wish to take your work home with you, you will need to bring your own loom.<span style=""> </span>There are a couple of web sites to help you with this<span class="ecx965565414-20022012"> (listed below)</span>, but basically you need to be able to provide tension on both ends of the warp. You can do this with 2 C clamps and a length of board or 2X4. Inkle looms will also work well.<span style=""> </span>Also bring scissors, and note paper and pen for notes.<br>

Fiber<span class="ecx965565414-20022012"> will be provided. However, if you are partial to specific colors, you will need four skeins/tubes of each color you plan to use in your project. Smooth cotton, crochet cotton and/or perl cotton are recommended for starting projects. </span></font></font></font></span></div>
