Greetings gentle cousins,

I too would like to add thanks, to all who donated items to the Silent Auction (through which we raised nearly 600.00 for the Barony!  Woo!!!) and to those without whose assistance the Auction would not have run as smoothly as it did: Baroness Rowan, Lady Devora, and Lady Olwen.  As the tradition has become, we ended up with more items than we had table space for--and a very large proportion of those items sold!  It was a lot of fun, and I thank Lady Cairistiona for asking me to participate.  I had a great time!

Thank you, too, to all the compassionate gentles who donated toward the fund to assist Lady Beatriz/Bambi.  The ongoing care and love shown by SCA folk for their own in time of need is a wonderful thing to see.  I saw Bambi yesterday, and she expressed her gratefulness with tears and smiles.  Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers this holiday season!

Thanks are due as well to the lovely, caring souls from the Spanish Peacock merchantry, for their raffle to assist Duchess Melisande and Lord Michael; another sign of deep compassion, love and respect in the SCA, which is of course what Duke Gyrth stood for and exemplified in his life and work.  I know we will all keep them in our prayers this season as well.

Greetings to the Room....

I would like to extend a personal thank you to all the merchants who participated in Stierbach's Holiday Faire yesterday.  I am glad I got to meet everyone of you.  I hope you all come back to merchant again for next year's Holiday Faire.  The merchandise you brought to sell at our event was wonderful.  There were many new items and many new merchants this year.  I heard very nice comments about all of you.    

Many of you traveled a great distance to come to this event.  I wish you all a safe journey home and to our new merchant friends who traveled to Atlantia from the Kingdoms in Aethelmearc, the East and the Midrealm, there is always safe passage in Atlantia anytime you wish to come back.

To the Pre-Incipient Canton of Abhainn an Iar, thank you so much for providing lunch.  You not only put out a great menu for people to enjoy, but you had lots of wonderful cookies, pies, muffins, and fruit.    

To everyone who stayed after the event to help clean up, you get a great big thank you as well.  We got the building cleaned up, everything loaded up and back to the storage unit in record time. 

To everyone who attended Holiday Faire, I hope you had a wonderful time, spent lots of money...grin, and found all those wonderful treasures whether it was for you or if you were Holiday Shopping for others.  Please come back again next year.

To the fair and wonderful Baroness of Stierbach, Briana Maclukas (Janie Darby), I really had fun working with you.  You had a tough job to do and you did great!  You helped make what I did more enjoyable.

To the Autocrat who put this event together, Sean MacKelly (Matthew Kelly), I so enjoyed working with you and would do so again without hesitation.  You did a great job.  Vivat, Vivat, Vivat..!!
