if I am home I will be happy to I have one in the basement and will be happy
to clean and tighten.  If you don't mind spending $35 for a professional to
do it Hancock's has someone come in at least once a month and he does it on
the spot.
but I will be happy to help anyone that has a messed up machine and I have
extras if someone needs to borrow one.

     If there are any expert sewing machine manipulators out there I am
issuing a special invitation to try your skill at getting the tension right
on my treadle type singer leather sewing machine.  I have the book for it
but don't know enough to get the tension right.
