[Moo] Cooking in Stierbach

Greetings!

The Cooks Guild of the Barony of Stierbach is a monthly gathering of friends. We hold our meetings on the second Wednesday of each month (This Wednesday, April 12 is our next meeting). This month will be at my home in the Sterling area. All with an interest in period cuisine are welcome to attend as my wife Ilse, the current sustaining member of the Stierbach Eating Guild will attest. ☺

Most months, we use our gatherings to test dishes in preparation for upcoming events. Sometimes, people will bring something out that might be too complicated to scale up to 100+ diners. You’re encouraged to bring a dish if you know of a period redaction or recipe that you’d like to try. But do not let the lack of a recipe discourage you from attending if you just want to try some things and see what we’re all about.

Your attendance will be most welcome.

Directions to the April Cooks Guild meeting
Take your best route to Leesburg Pike (Route 7) between Great Falls and the Route 7 - Route 28 interchange. 

Traveling East on Route 7 from Route 28, make a left at the first stoplight on to Countryside Blvd. Go through one light on Countryside to the end of the shopping center and turn right between the shopping center and the elementary school on to Cromwell. (Note: The best place to park will be on Cromwell.) Make the first legal left on to Vandercastel Rd. Turning left into the first cul-de-sac will put you in Jermyn Ct. Ilse and I live in 13 Jermyn Ct. It is the second townhouse from the left if you're standing with your back to Vandercastel.

Traveling West on Route 7 towards Route 28, after passing the interchange for Cascades Parkway, make your next right on to Palisades Parkway. Take the first left off Palisades on to Triple Seven Road. You'll pass behind the Chipotle & Borders. Look for a street on your left. The first left turn onto a street (not into the shopping center or Condominium complex) will be Cromwell. Turn left on Cromwell. (Note: The best place to park will be on Cromwell.) Take your next right on to Vandercastel Rd. Turning left into the first cul-de-sac will put you in Jermyn Ct. Ilse and I live in 13 Jermyn Ct. It is the second townhouse from the left if you're standing with your back to Vandercastel.
