I'm sure that Black Diamond has had to think about that in the past. Personally the time and money for gas was the reason I did not attend it last year. However, Black Diamond has traditionally held the KA event about that time every year (from my understanding) and is an established event. While they may loose some attendance due to switching the date, they still have the advantage of it being a noted event.

>From my understading, (I had been IMing with the Black Diamond A&S autocrat on a different topic when this came across originally) the change of date to the weekend of the June 17th is a done deal, at the request of HRH Michael of Bedford.

I'd like to take a second to say I am not trying to rain on our parade, or be a fount of negativity. I had some concerns/thoughts on the matter that may or may not be problematic, and wanted to point them out so the event can be successful. My concerns might not even be valid, you all have a much deeper understanding of events in this area than I do.

So feel free to say "thanks Takeda, now be a good samurai and go guard the corner now" :)
