Greetings,

Please note, as was experienced with Kingdom Archery last year, July is a very risky month for very hot/unhealthy weather in this area. I would think the heavy fighters, especially, would be even more at risk for issues in July.

Best wishes. I know there are no easy solutions. We need a seer who specializes in weather! :)

  Sincerely,
  Alestra

Their Royal Highnesses have requested Kings Assessment be held in June instead of July. The Barony of Black Diamond has scheduled this fighting event for the same weekend as our Baronial Birthday.

The site for Assessments is more than 100 miles (~160 miles) from the site for Birthday so it is not a conflicting event by kingdom law. However, I think many of the heavy fighters that might have come to Birthday will go to Assessments instead.

I believe we have two options for Birthday:
  1) Change the focus of Birthday to be less of a heavy fighting event and more of a ________ event.
  2) Move Birthday to another date. (Lord Marcolo is checking on this.)

We need to make a decision on this before the weekend as our event announcement for a June event is due Saturday.

Please post your opinions to the Moo, the Watchtower, or the Abhainn Iarthair Yahoo list as soon as possible. The Baronial officers are meeting Wednesday evening and I would like to have some feedback by then. Respond to me privately if you do not wish to express your opinion publicly. I’ll also try to answer any questions that you might have.

Note: I’ve had the webminister change the Moo list so replies will go to the list by default.

This is an event for all of us so I would like everyone to have the opportunity to express an opinion on this.

  Yours in Service,
  Ceridwen ferch Rhys ap Michael
