Holiday Faire is coming soon (November 18 in Stierbach). We would like to invite you to join us in some of the OTHER Activities besides shopping. Yes, there are other things to do at this event besides shop.

Arts and Science - Lady Blitha is hosting two categories. 

The first is a competition for the best shopping bag or other contrivances to carry your loot (i.e. boxes, bags, baskets, wagons.) Please limit your documentation to a single page.

Second, is a "I am still looking for ." display of unfinished projects with descriptions of what you are looking for to complete it. Is it garb missing just the right buttons, or something that just needs a special touch and you are not sure what it is. Come get feedback and a little help.

 

Archery - Come one, come all. Have your archery skills tested by the games of chance at "The Carnival of Hope and Death".  Carnival games abound! Teams of two will be needed for the games so take a fellow archer to the carnival. Inspections will begin at 11:00am and the Carnival begins at noon. Lady Esperanza and Lord Mors have made moving targets to test your skill and eyesight. Lady Esperanza will be your contact person.

 

For Rapiers, a "Tournament of Style!" First part will be a tourney "by force of arms" to determine the Holiday Faire Rapier Tournament Champion.  However to make it more fun, let's see what their "Style" score will be.  For each bout, they will be scoring fighters on their "fashion sense", conduct during bouts, crowd reactions and the overall fighter's "flair".  This person will be recognized as Holiday Faire's Most Stylish Fighter.

Armored heavy Combat will be a tourney will consisting of four simultaneous bear pits.

First pit will be Sword and Board.  Second pit will be Great Weapon.  Third pit will be Pole Arms.  Fourth pit will be Dual Weapons. After tallying scores a final round of combat between the winners of the bear pits to determine the day's winner. Lord Allen of Wolfhou is your point of contact for heavy. Throwing weapons will be a "Bubba" modified survivor tourney hosted by Lord Bubba.

It will be a standard survivor in that all participants will throw one weapon in each round with the participant making the worst throw in each round being eliminated.  The "bubba" modification consists of the requirement that one third of throws must be thrown with each weapon, knives, axes, spears in order to be declared the winner. So that to win the tourney one must use all three weapons forms. Please see the website for full details.
