This is one of the reasons we stopped having the business meeting in private
homes.

In another group we have run into this problem. by society law ( if im
correct ) once you open your home to "official business meetings" your home
MUST comply with all federal disabilities laws. might want to check this so
that you dont interfere with these laws and open a can of worms that you
really dont need. its about destroyed a group so far since some folks feel
that its ok to hinder the handicapped from attending meetings and then when
they speak up for themselves the "some folks" throw a fit and I even watched
a few push chairs in front of the handicapped person and make snide remarks
about them.

While I'm guessing that it is my house that is being discussed right now, I
will put my two cents in this discussion.

Libraries are bad for our family, kids and meetings don't go well together.
I would love the meetings to be at a private home, preferably one where
there might be a separate room for the kids to go and play and watch tv
(yes, we let our kids watch it).

Any home would do, and we could even make it on week nights if that were the
case. Keeping kids quiet in a common room of adults talking is near
impossible, and a big pain the tush for the parents. Which is why we stay
home unless we have to come.

And yes, we would of course LOVE people to come and hangout at our house and
even stay for a meeting!

I'd like to see people come over just so that we can all get to know
everyone outside of an event. There are a lot of folks in the Barony that I
don't know and would love to have a place where I can meet them, where we
don't all have a very urgent errand or duty that prevents us from just
talking.

Regards,
Grace
