Hmm. If we're getting into something beside English, I can come with
Latin. How about any of these:

arma iacta--thrown weapons

iaculum--thrown item in general

telum iactum--similar to arma iacta above, except that "telum" is
generic for a missle weapon (spear, ax, dart, knife, etc.). "Arma
Iacta" could be ANY thrown weapon, includig some that are difficult to
throw because of their size (i.e., a catapult) <snicker>

telum argentum--silver thrown weapon

telum tauri --bull's thrown weapon

telum cum labriscis--thrown weapon with (wild) vines

telum et labrusca -- thrown weapon and (wild) vine

telum labruscatum, (tela labruscata)--vined thrown weapon(s) (I'm
guessing at the grammar on this one.)

If anyone has an ideas they might like translated to Latin, I can take
a try at that, too.
