Greetings to the Barony from your Baron and Baroness,

What a wonderful week at Pennsic then a not so wonderful week of
unpacking and washing. We can not remember better weather, and it was
truly wonderful to see how well the Barony was represented on all
fields! The Baronial Hospitality night was a success, and we know that
next year's will be even better. The camp looked great, and we received
many comments on how wonderful everyone was to visitors.

We were graced with Their Majesties presence at Baronial Court. They
recognized Baroness Brianna with a coral branch and Lady Gwyn from
Abhainn Iarthair with a fountain. Keep an eye open for the court report
from Lord Allen of Wolfhou from that evening's Baronial court. If you
received an award at court, there are scrolls and we will be delivering
them to you at a meeting or baronial function in the near future.

Once again the Barony shot the War Point together. Rhonwen was awed by
the response that the Barony received on the range. Each of us shot and
scored at least once on each of the challenges. Flaithri may soon be in
the market for a crossbow and Rhonwen learned not be attached to her
bolts. A significant number of the champion's team was Atlantian
archers, and most of those from Stierbach! In addition Kirsten placed
in the Thrown Weapons competition and is ranked in the top 5 of
Atlantia! Vivat!

Seeing the war standard flying with the troops on the battle field was a
sight to behold. We are very proud at how well you did through all
obstacles! Flaithri will be with you next year with his spear, who else
will make the pledge to take the field? Flaithri received nothing but
praise in regards to our "small but deadly" Baronial unit. We fielded
only a handful of fighters but they fought hard; the Stierbach unit was
first into battle and was still present when the ending cannons rang
out. Flaithri heard of great deeds from within the ranks and from
onlookers alike. We have set a great tone for the future to build on.

On the rapier list, Stierbach mustered with the Ponte Alto rapier
contingent and fought hard. Our units were instrumental in achieving the
goals set out for Atlantia. Of special note is Ragnar Ribcracker who
came to fight in the rapier woods battle fresh from the heavy field
battle.

Our Baronial youth also made an excellent showing. Michael taught a
significant amount, won the Aethelmarc youth tourney and we heard
nothing but wonderful things about him from the marshals and on lookers.
Eva took 2nd in the Middle's youth tourney brining home a nice shiny
buckler. Cecelia placed in the youth archery shoot as well, and brought
home a very useful prize.

So one war is down...and there are several more to come! Hope to see
many of you over the next few months preparing for War of the Wings and
Gulf Wars.

Yours,

Flaithri and Rhonwen
