[Moo] Northern Army soldiers to the field!!!

As the Winter wolf gnaws at our heels and the days of Spring call us  
forth from garrison, the time has come to grab our banners and shields  
of War and begin anew our call to arms on behalf of our glorious  
Kingdom!

For those of us left behind to guard our fair land from invaders while  
his Majesty Crusades in foreign Gulfs, the Southern Military District  
(comprising Ponte Alto, Stierbach, Roxbury Mills, and the Consortium  
Turrium) of the Grand Army of the Potomac (aka the Northern Army of  
Darkness) will be holding an Intra-Regional melee training practice  
for its troops on Sunday, March 16th (the day after the fight-filled  
St. Paddy's Day Bloodbath) so that we may recommence a training regime  
between and amongst our units.  While the focus will be on training  
the units of the Southern Military District, all are welcome to help  
improve the level of fighting and to give us someone to fight with and  
against!  If you are not joining his Majesty abroad, we hope you will  
join us in training and melee fun... particularly since his Highness  
may soon well be expecting us to venture forth for combat at the  
upcoming Blackstone Raid towards the end of April!  Think ye ready to  
do him honor?

We anticipate that some of our experts will be offering some training  
on melee basics following which we will engage in focused melee drills  
to improve specific skill sets after which there will be significant  
melees to practice that which we have learned and drilled.

The War Practice will be held at the site of our weekly Sunday Socials  
(Lemon Road Elementary School at 7230 Idylwood Road in Falls Church,  
VA) and there will consequently also be room available inside for  
those who are interested in engaging in the more artistic or  
scientific pursuits in furtherance of the art and beauty of our great  
and noble lands while those of us of a more bellicose nature can  
soldier on outside.

We hope you will take the opportunity to follow-up the fantastic  
opportunity to exercise your tourney fighting afforded by the St.  
Paddy's Day Bloodbath tournament on Saturday the 15th with our Intra- 
Regional War Practice on Sunday the 16th (note that the two sites are  
different).  The Army needs you.

Directions to Lemon Road Elementary

 From Southern Virginia, Maryland and Alexandria, VA

Take I-495 (the beltway) to the VA-Route 7 East exit at Tysons Corner  
labeled Leesburg Pike/Falls Church, Exit #47B. Continue on Leesburg  
Pike towards Falls Church for 1.2M. Turn left onto Idylwood Road for  
0.3 miles. * Turn left into the Lemon Road Elementary School front  
parking lot. Park and enter the building through the main front  
entrance on the right hand side of the building. Proceed straight  
ahead past the cafeteria entrances, turn left into the hallway which  
leads past the stairs to the second floor and walk past the stairs to  
the entrance to the gym.

 From Northwestern Virginia and Washington, DC

Take I-66 to the VA-Route 7 West exit for Leesburg Pike/Tysons Corner  
exit #66B. Continue on Leesburg Pike under 0.1M towards Tysons Corner.  
Turn right at the first light onto Idylwood Road for 0.3 miles. Follow  
from * above.
