Welcome to the area Matthaeus! and welcome back to the SCA! 



Steirbach is a rather large place, and you did not mention which area you lived in. In additon to the fighter practice in Manasas on tuesdays, there is one in Front Royal on mondays, and at least once a month in Stafford Co at Sir Cian's or Sir Richard's. You may check on Abhainn Iarthair's and Sudentorre's websites for activites in the NW and SE corners of the Barony. There are links to both cantons from the Barony of Stierbach website. I am sure if there is any activity you see on any of the Calenders, feel free to attend and we can get to meet you too!

I'm new to the barony (long-time resident, but moving here and there based on work and school) and as such have kind of fallen out of the Society for the last few years.? In any case, I'd like to get back in, and am keen to start fighting again.?

I've seen the baronial calendar and noted that you all ahve fighter practice twice a week (in theory, weather permitting, etc.) and would like to come out.? In the past, I was authorized on Sword and board and spear, but I've never had much luck with those and would like to try my hand at great weapon.? Out of curiosity, if I show up, would it be possible for me to get some practice in on a loaned greatsword/polearm?? Thanks so much!
