For those of you not on the Merry Rose here is the schedule of events
for WOW this year.

Be on the lookout for information from Flaithri and I in the near future
about what preparations the Barony is making and how we can use your
help.

Subject: [MR] WoW V - Something for everyone!

So are you debating whether you wanna make the trek to WoW this year?
Are you wondering if it'll be worth the time, effort, and money?
Well.... Let's see what you $15(pre-reg adult member) will get you!

Thursday - We are opening the gates at 12 noon! Early enough for you
to come and get your camp set up before sun down.

Friday - This year Friday has even more to do!
*Starting at 11am you can head out to the archery and thrown weapons
ranges for some practice, or trot over to the Equestrian arena and
take a peek while they do some training.
*Afternoon brings an Archery class (2pm), MoL opening (3pm), The House
Berra Brewer's Conference (3pm), A 3-man Heavy Tourney (4pm), the
Rapier Tourney for SG Komen (4pm), a Siege Engine Demo (5pm),and a
mounted Combat Archery demo (5pm).
*We will have classes throughout the day on a variety of subjects.
(all classes at WoW are worth University credit this year!)
*Helard's Point will be open and ready to help with all of your
heraldic needs from announcements to submissions.... they got it all!
*The evening brings much excitement as well! Once the sun goes down
the S.G. Komen activities continue with a torchlight Heavy Tourney
(8pm), and a nighttime competition in both Archery and Thrown Weapons
(8pm).
*Also Friday evening in the castle, we will once again have our
welcome social. The social is a party for all! Last year we had over
200 people stop by for the fabulous food, festive atmosphere, and the
chance to mingle with friends old and new! (7pm)

Saturday - As always the BIG day! We will start early and stop late!
*MoL and inspection stations will be open bright and early (8:30am)
*At 9:30 all will gather for the Grand Procession which will take
place at 10:00am. The procession is truly a sight to behold. With all
the Kingdom declaring for their chosen side and displaying all of
their heraldic glory!
*The competitions for the war points start at 11:00am and include.....
Heavy fighting - woods (with CA) and open field & scenario (with Siege &
CA).
Rapier - woods (with CA), ruins, and open field.
Archery & Thrown Weapons - Shoots and Throws run by Lady Lorelei & Lady
Eleanor.
Equestrian - Gallery of Helms, Challenge Course, & Mounted Joust
Youth - Armored, Rapier, & Archery
Baronial Champions - Heavy, Rapier, Archery, Youth, A&S & Equestrian.
A&S, Pentathlon, Scroll Blank, & Performing Arts.
And last but not least the Volunteer War Point, which gives EVERYONE a
chance to help their side!
*As with Friday there will be classes and heraldic consults going on
throughout the day.
*Our Kingdom Minister of Minors will be heading up the Children's
Activities for the day, with all kinds of fun and educational things
to do. Including Trick or Treating from 3-4pm.
*The Atlantian Brewers Guild will be hosting a tasting for those
legally able to attend (1-4pm).
*The Marketplace will be even more tempting as it will play host to
the Performing Arts pavilion with performances throughout the day and
the Silent Auction benefitting SG Komen.
* Royal and Baronial courts will be held at approx. 5:30pm, completely
at the whim of Their Majesties of course.
*As has become tradition at WoW. after court there will be a viking
boat burning to honor those that have left us.
*Once the Sun has set there will ofcourse be parties, drumming,
dancing, bardic circles, and lots of laughter all under a blanket of
stars!

So... those are some of the great things planned for War of the Wings
this year....
All for the price of an average dinner out.
Have you got your reservation in yet?
