We had three heavy fighters in armor and one rapier fighter with
equipment ready to go. The rapier fighter was sad as he had no one to
play with.

Braving winter's final death throes of sleet, rain, snow, and wind, in
an effort to inure themselves to the distractions of the body the
three heavy fighters took the practice outside. (Going outside may
also have had something to do with the floor fee being raised to $15,
but it sounds better the way I said it.)

We worked sword and shield v. sword and shield, polearm v. sword and
shield, polearm v. polearm, and greatsword v. single sword.

It was good to get outside and move around a bit more after a winter
of indoor practice.

Lessons Learned:

1) Keeping a fighter journal might be a good idea.
2) Physical exertion will keep you warm when it is cold, but you will
still have freezing hands at the end of the practice.
3) Gauntlets that don't fit well normally, fit even less well when one
has freezing hands.
4) Skill, agility, and aimed shots are required, even with two handed weapons.

P.S.
Any authorized fighters (I need three) who plan on attending the
Baronial Birthday event and are interested in defending the honor of
Stierbach while participating in an.....unorthodox... team style
activity please contact me.
