[Moo] Incoming transplant...

Greetings and salutations!

I am Lord Robert l'Étourdi (mka Robert Meyer) and have been living in Black Diamond (Radford/Blacksburg/Christiansburg area) for the last year and a half.  I'm a transplant from the Barony of the Rhydderich Hael in the Kingdom of Æthelmearc.  I will be working in the Reston area (Freddie Mac) and am interested in getting involved in Fencing, Archery, thrown weapons and A&S (I make quill pens, bows, arrows and do some calligraphy).

Currently, I am frantically looking for someplace to live in the area.  If anyone has any good ideas, I'd appreciate hearing about them.  I have heard rumors of horrible traffic situations.  I will probably be going to work at 7AM, so I don't know how much of a problem there will be.  Currently, I have no furnishings, so if anyone knows about a furnished or semi furnished apartment in the area, I'd be grateful.  So far, I've heard that Sterling, Reston, Herndon, Greenbrier and a few other places are reasonable for traffic, going to work.  I will be moving the weekend of the 18th (yes, while everyone else is at YMIR...*grumble*), so time is somewhat critical.


I will scour the Barony web site to find information on practices and things but I know that there will probably be other things going on that may not be on the site.  I'd be interested to hear about anything that sounds fun and interesting.

I look forward to meeting everyone and getting involved in local events!
