I'm sorry to hear of your experience.

I'm fairly new as well and didn't know about this until the email. And i
too don't know.... what are open houses?  Who are they meant for?   Where
is the secret calendar of gatherings that we are missing out on?

Newbie cheat sheet needed badly.
