Here are the notes from the Business meeting held on April 2nd. Thank you
Lee for typing these up!

*Baronial Business Meeting Minutes*

*April 2, 2014 – Library 7:00-8:30*

*Attended by 23+ with several on the phone also*

*Upcoming Meetings:*

*May 14th (*2nd *Wednesday of the month) – Central Library in Manassas

*June 4th – Central Library in Manassas

*Since May 7th is open, could be an A&S night if someone wants to host at
their house

*Business*

*Defending the Gate VIII Report* from Baroness Esperanza

*Lady Muriel reported a good turn out despite the rain – 298 total
attendees (332 last year)

*Fighters happy to have the gate set up!

*Due to the storm Saturday evening: the baronial tent has a 3’ rip, Big
White has roof leaks – Esperanza will get quote for repairs, the barony has
a loaner dayshade for Coronation (potluck day-board at Coronation, bring
something to share!)

*Also, the damage to the site needs to be repaired: straw removed (several
people going out to help), ground rolled and reseeded

*A profit was made but will need to pay for reseeding, Sudentorre is part
of the barony

*Other notes about DtG: Ragnarr Ribcracker went above & beyond towing stuck
cars out of the muddy parking area; Lady Heloise’s period mac & cheese for
His Majesty was very well received

*Seneschal’s Report* from Master Ii

*Permissions needed to include contact information for all warranted
officers

*For Exchequer report Brianna will need Mundane name, SCA name, Number, and
expiration date

*Seneschal report needs same info – will work together

*Officers, check your warrants for expiration dates!

*Officers can join the officers email list by emailing Master Richard

*Master Ii says send corrections to names, etc.

*Dreamer’s Cup, and other awards missing on OP – Baroness Esperanza will
resubmit

*No current open Officer positions with the exception of Youth Officer &
that is okay, Page’s Academy is Kingdom Level

*Upcoming*

*Baronial Birthday*

*September 7(?) at Grimmsfield (limited parking) unless another location
can be found

*Possibly Clark County fairgrounds, although there were contract issues in
the past

*It would be nice to find a place where equestrian activities could be held.

*Holiday Faire*

*Contract & Insurance: Done! Grimm will alert merchants after Pennsic as
in years past

*Additional ideas: musicians (as long as they do not interfere with
merchants), holiday themed activities, theater/mummers/revels, pre-court
entertainment, also A&S displays/competition

*Possible use of additional unheated building for above ideas

*Wakefield School Demo*

*For their Medieval Faire, Thursday May 22, daytime

*Master Ii and James can probably attend, will need marshal

*Pennsic*

*Baronial Camp – if not a part of Stierbach, must be sponsored by a
Stierbach member and meet with committee/camp stewards ahead of time to get
to know & be on board with chores, responsibilities, and camp matters

*Turn Blitha’s infomative pre-Pennsic email into an official document for
the webpage, Richard says that can be done

*NO cellphones may be charged on the Baronial camp marine batteries – these
are for the lights only; if you need to charge a cellphone: volunteer at
troll! Also, Baron Mors can tell you how to rig up a small solar panel, and
Sarah can tell you about batteries

*Baronial Birthday 2015* – 3rd weekend in June! Nominal Autocrat?

*Holiday Faire 2015* – a different location?
