[Moo] From my blog: A long strange trip

My stepfather’s mother is from Germany and still has an accent. Her rouladen, which she learned to make from her mother, includes pickles. The pickles lend a great flavor to the gravy. Maybe we make the signature dish rouladen and offer variants ☺. Of course, my mother has to adapt the recipe for my stepfather, who is allergic to onions and garlic, so the flavor is entirely up to the pickles and bacon. Working with food allergies is a challenge :-P

Ii-Dono, an excellent question.
O Volk of Stierbach, give me your opinions:
What think you of, perhaps, this? http://www.3fgburner.net/rouladen.htm

Thank you for posting. It is good to hear our history from one who's seen it.

PS: So what is a "stierbacher", I wonder? A type of donut (Apple cinnamon?), a venison Frankfurter? Come on, we should have a signature food. ;)
