Greetings unto their Excellencies of Stierbach and her populace!

I would like to humbly submit my populace report for Baronial Court that
took place in the afternoon of March 25, 2017, at Defending the Gate XVI.
Attending and presenting awards were Their Excellencies of Stierbach, Baron
Mors and Baroness Esperanza. Their Heraldic voice was the Lady Palfi
Jozsa.

The first award given was a Silver Compass to Lady Sara van Eerde, of the
Canton of Sudentorre. She received a scroll to represent Their
Excellencies’ thanks for Lady Sara’s artistic contributions to others’
scrolls.

Lord Bumi, of the Canton of Sudentorre, was the second member of the
populace to be recognized. He was inducted into the order of the Saint Roch
for his efforts to support the Barony at site setups and takedowns, as well
as the work that he puts in to the rapier community. He did not receive
his scroll at Court, but it is expected to be delivered to him soon.

The third award was the Silver Stirrup of Stierbach, which was given to
Lord William Hirst of Storvik. He was recognized for his efforts in
building and teaching the equestrian arts to the Stierbach populace. Lord
William received a scroll at Court.

Next, the Autocrat of the event, THL Caradawc Mendwr, was called into Their
Excellencies’ Presence. THL Caradawc presented an account of the day’s
winners in all of the martial activities, as well as in the Arts and
Sciences. He reminded all winners to see Lady Marsaili Johnston of Lockwood
Moss to receive a Russian hat as an award. THL Caradawc then thanked all
of the attendees and Their Excellencies for their support and for
permitting him to serve them.

The fourth award was the Silver Stirrup of Stierbach, given to Lady Gunnora
Grimm of Stierbach for her efforts at building and promoting the equestrian
community. Lady Gunnora was not in attendance, but Their Excellencies
determined that Lady Gunnora would receive her scroll on the day following
the event.

The fifth award recipient was Lady Sanada Akime of Sudentorre, who was
called forth from her position guarding Their Excellencies to receive her
award scroll for the Saint Roch. Lady Akime was recognized for her efforts
in building and teaching the rapier community.

Next, Her Excellency Baroness Esperanza rose to address the populace. She
thanked them for attending, then turned her attention to Her Court Herald,
Lady Palfi Jozsa of Sudentorre. Lady Jozsa was then directed to attend
Their Excellencies to receive the sixth award for this event, the Silver
Compass, in recognition for her storytelling contributions. A scroll was
presented.

Next, Lady Freug the Herbalist of Sudentorre was called forth to return the
Dreamers’ Cup. Lady Freug described the item she had added to the chest
that houses the Cup: a purple embroidered sachet that contains herbs to
represent herself and hops to represent her husband and fellow recipient of
the Cup, Lord John the Brewer. The herbs were said to inspire the dreams
of the next Dreamers’ Cup recipient. Their Excellencies thanked Lady Freug
and her husband for keeping the Cup safe, then called Lord Jasper of
Hartshorn-dale of Wolfhou to appear in Court before Them.

Their Excellencies regaled the populace with descriptions of how Lord
Jasper supported the Barony with his cooking and baking arts, whether or
not he was in attendance at an event. The seventh and final award
presented at Defending the Gate XVI, The Dreamers’ Cup, was then presented
to a representative of Lord Jasper so that he could return to the kitchen.

In service,

Lady Palfi Jozsa (call me Jozsa)
