Greetings all!

Stierbach's Baronial A&S day come learn how to make mead! It will be at Baroness Aine and Lord Sigurd's house at 5611 Jamisons Farm Dr Warrenton Va 20187. There will be the usual potluck, so please bring something to share. Depending on weather, the yard will be open for fighting and the shop may also be open and there will room for random A&S projects to be worked on.

Allergy Alert: Cats, please medicate as needed.

And now a few words from the man who will be teaching our class!

"Greetings,

I'll be teaching the mead making class on 4/21/18. The class is designed to make communal 5 gallon batch(es) of traditional mead, containing only clover honey, water and yeast (a "show mead"). Alex Thompson<https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100010783470864&fref=mentions> will be "hosting" the carboy(s) containing the group's mead. Karl has graciously offered to rack the mead after initial fermentation has occurred (approximately 1 month later). I'll come back down several months after the initial racking, when it's finished fermenting, to bottle the mead and distribute the final product.

Typically, I average around 20-24 claret wine bottles of mead from every 5 gallon batch. The final cost will be determined by the number of people that want the mead at the end; and it will include the ingredients, glass carboys (fermentation vessels), bottles, and corks. Feel free to message me with any additional questions.

Lord Michel von Schonsee"
