the mongols used hand granades durring thier attack on japan in 1274, or at least what historians think were objects used as handgranades. i think that would put a nice dent in the fort

The shame of it is, nobody really knows what it was made of, and I haven't heard of a successful attempt to duplicate it, beyond the inferior material the Arabs produced around the 13th century. The secret formula was lost within a single generation of its invention.
It would take out that fort at Pennsic in a jiffy, but I suspect there would be complaints from the Marshallate (as well as the surviving defenders) :-)

I think however it's essential to have a fire extinguisher nearby as
well.
There's a kind of one the Greeks invented way back when that would do
nicely- it sprays water and has a pumping action to prime it, takes
some work, but after all, having this much fun might just demand it!
