Over the past two months, we of the preincipient  canton of Avannaniar
have passed the word in Stierbach and its environs that we were trying
to put together a bulk order of the Knowne Worlde Handbook. 

Response so far has been considerable: we have requests from 11 people
for a total of 13 copies (2 people wanted two copies each), plus an
inquiry from a twelfth person. That makes the proposed order so far a
possible total of 14 copies. 

We would like to order at least 20 copies, to avail everyone of the
largest discount possible. For that reason we are also extending our
offer to our northern neighbors, in Aethelmaerc’s shire of Sylvan Glen
and its environs. 

The base price for the Handbook us $16 a copy. The SCA stock clerk also
offers a the following discounted prices for bulk orders;

*for 10-19 copies, a $1 discount each, for a resulting price of $15 a
copy;
*for 20 or more copies, a $2 discount each , for a resulting price of
$14 a copy.

Our current number of 14 copies would thus mean that each copy is $15.

Anyone interested in getting in on this order, or anyone with

need confirmed orders by the canton’s next business meeting on May 19.
Payment in hand to Loric (or me, if you see me first) must be no later
no later than Stierbach’s June business meeting on June 2. One or both
of us will attend that meeting. If we get enough orders total for the
$2 apiece discount—at least 20—we will broadcast the news immediately
and make any necessary refunds.

confirm your order if you have not heard from him by May 19. If you
