Greetings to the various lists from Gisela vom Kreuzbach, coordinator for Heralds Point at this upcoming War. Please pardon the scattershot mailing and please forward to all those who will likely have interest in this correspondence.

I'll start with the hard part. I need volunteers to:

1) Help at Heralds Point consulting, conflict checking and creating the artwork to be submitted.
2) I need teachers for heraldic classes (naming, armory, banner-making, heralds in history, anything, everything)

As many of you know the Known World Heraldic and Scribal Symposium 2008 will be in London Labor Day weekend, just weeks after Pennsic. This will sap away some of the heralds who would normally attend Pennsic and help at the Point. There are only so many dollars to spend and days to take from jobs and school. It's all perfectly understandable.

However, I need to get a feel for how many willing heralds I will have in the Point to run submissions. We are looking at limiting the hours the tent will be opened if we don't have the staff for it. Truly, if we get a few hours from a bunch of the heralds who attend war, we'd be good.

If you plan to attend and volunteer time in the Point or Art Tent (very little artistic skill required for most of it. Tracable ARt is a MARVELOUS thing.)

If you plan to attend but have never volunteered at Heralds Point Please consider putting in some hours. It's a great way to meet other heralds an a fantastic way to learn the job.

In any case, please let me know if you are likely or definitely planning to attend and help OFF LIST at Gisela.vomKreuzbach at gmail.com or scribe0002 at aol.com

If you? have any aquestions about Heralds Point at Pennsic, feel free to ping me with them. I don't bite and I make up really interesting answers . . . =o)
