There were two folks working on cut and thrust/rapier last night
(Congrats to His Excellency on becoming a warranted C&T marshal), five
folks suited up for heavy, and one new fighter who is actively working
on getting his kit together so he can join in in a more active manner
(no loaner helmets on hand).

While the weather was humid (Northern Virginia after a week's worth of
rain, who would have thought, huh?) it was not to hot. The practice
was light but good, with most folks focusing on one or two particular
things they need to work on.

Lessons Learned:

1) It is imposable to paint a shield in the rain.
2) Don't let the really fast guy stand two feet away from you and
throw shots at will.
3) That fake to the head, shot to the leg move works really well
especially against me.
3a) It should not work that well as I saw it at least ten times (end grumble)
4) It is much easier to work on your sword and shield technique if you
actually have a shield (See lesson one).
5) If you throw a low shot once, it will prob be a slow shot the
second time if you throw it exactly the same way.
